Alliance Page

I was wondering if anyone knows a good website for creating buttons. I want bottuns saying stuff like contact diplomat. Currently, since all the button making programs I found weren't good, I just put in a link. So does anyone know any good button makers for external alliance page?

Not sure if External Alliance pages take javascript but if so you don't really need a button making program. Just use the button tag with the javascript to make it send to a specific URL when pressed.

Here is the HTML:

<button onClick="window.location='http://s2.ikariam.org/index.php?view=sendIKMessage&msgType=52&receiverId=2542'">Contact Diplomat </button>

That creates a button that says Contact Diplomat and when clicked it would take you to the screen to contact DLR's diplomat. You would need to change the URL to match the correct one for your alliance. Just insert the URL for your current Contact Diplomat link.

The button looks like this:

Button Generator.com has some nice free buttons that you can make right on the website. You can then just add the <a href="XXX"> tags to the image and you have your nice, fancy buttons.

Seems super easy to me and they have tons of options. The only requirement is that you provide a linkback somewhere on the page to show where you got the buttons.

*edit* something about the phrase "fancy buttons" make me chuckle...

If you want the button to contact the diplomat, first go to your alliance's current external alliance page. Right-Click on the Contact Diplomat link and select "Copy Link Location". Paste that into your HTML in the <a href="Paste URL Here">

Do that with each link you want for each button. In fact, you said that you already have the links on your page instead of buttons. Just use the same URL that you have for the link and paste it into your button HTML.

I know how to get the links for all of them but the apply button. Is the apply button the same link as contact diplomat?
