I truly don't know, except to say that he didn't join The NightHawks (NTHK) alliance. We probably would have accepted him, he just didn't ask. The few players we've rejected were those whose reputation proceeded them, in that they had been kicked from other alliances for bullying or causing other problems.hahaha that's funny. Whatever happened to that new player? Did he quit or end up joining you guys for helping him fight you.
Regarding Eta, and specifically regarding the world war, how did that exactly start and how long did it last? Was there a clear victor or did it just kind of fade away as people lost interest? In my server, Delta, we've never had a world war. The closest being a war where there was at least 5 alliances involved in declaring war on one another for various reasons, which I didn't really see as a world war since the definition of which seems to have to involve at least the top 10 alliances.
I would see it that way too. Why would you just attack a previously friendly alliance? I'd want to put you down like rabid dogs.... we declare a war against a previously friendly alliance, and instead of seeing it as fun, they see it as a stab in the back or a kick in the nether regions, ...
I don't know for sure. I'd always assumed it was the Bahamas or something like that. But, my friend Google tells me that it's a common saying in south Chicago. But umm.. kick a rock? haha What country was he from?
I'm aware of the history. I think that was one of the reasons most of the alliances were willing to agree to it. It was sort of funny. And I find it funny that you had a Christmas Day ceasefire for your server's first World War. I'm not too sure how well you know history, but there was also a ceasefire in the actual World War I on Christmas. I just find that funny how parallel that World War was to actual history, being that there was no clear victor and that Christmas ceasefire.
Eh, we did okay. We got our butts kicked a little, but didn't really do to much. We dithered for a couple of weeks about whether we should join in or not, and finally reached consensus just before the deadline that it would be good for the alliance to participate. And, it was. We learned some valuable lessons ... forged some friendly ties ... learned how to work with large groups ... decided we wanted to remain a small alliance. We're still not war-like, but we can hold our own.How did the NightHawks fair in the first part of the world war? Being one of the smaller alliances and all...
Or, at least a hard-working Hardware Operations Engineer! We're the Engineers' Engineers, and often fix things before they know they're broken .......fit for a king..
lol Let me explain my perspective.I would see it that way too. Why would you just attack a previously friendly alliance? I'd want to put you down like rabid dogs.
However, I can see that it'd be different if the two alliances agreed to conduct a war just for fun, giving members the chance to opt out if they wanted.
