    Special Features: Is specialised in sneeking past the swordsmen and around the back of sulfur carrabineers stabbing them as they shoot ... this little geezer is small in size and is armed with a small trench knife


    Acquirement Statistics:

    Upkeep:100
    Resources Cost: 150 wood 50 crystal 300 sulfur
    Population Cost:1
    Barracks/Shipyard Level: 22
    Research Required: logistics


    Suggestion Reason:

    I think with the battlefield the way it is at the moment it needs spicing up a little and with that said we have not been given any new troops in ages :)

    I think this idea of some kind of troop that can sneak past the swordsman and do damage to the gunners is a excellent idea and i hope to get some positive feedback :thumbsup:

    This idea was is a idea in the making ... just think the battlefield is stagnant and the introduction of a new unit/units would spice the game up more .... plus with the infiltrator idea, i think the gunners need to be able to be killed right from round one .... we all know that unless the attacker/defender is not combat aware its impossible to do any damage to gunners

  • This is a terrible idea and it is pretty obvious you haven't thought it out yet.

    You're just saying random things and are not backing anything up with reasons or even any semblance of thought.

    Why? What is the reasoning behind that? Being able to decreases strategy in the game.

    But I dont think there is any need in being so negative about my idea why not just ask questions instead if jumpin the gun and slating it as a bad idea from the off? Are you really that shallow with your thought process?

    If this was such a bad idea why would the mods put it up for a vote?

    if you read my previous comment it states that gunners are practically unkillable by skill players and with the addition of my unit you would hqve to protect them by having your own infiltrator

    The whole strategy will change to "Whoever has the most infiltrators will win/have an advantage over the other side" Hell, people might even stop fielding Sulphur Carabineers into their army and many people will agree with me when I say that would be pretty retarded.
    I am not investing my vote into this idea, I'm out.

  • Do you know what I fail to understand .... ikariam is abased on ancient greece times yet we have mortars gyros gunners and balloons? But yet my idea of a sneaky unit is a bad idea ... greece was built on sly sneaky manipulative people but hey what do I know :whistling:
  • The strategy in the game has stagnated, whether this 100 upkeep "infiltrator" should be implemented should be questioned, but this game needs a new unit to spice it up!
  • This is kind of the equivalent of the paddle steamers in naval warfare right?

    The issue I have is that it doesn't change strategy at all, everyone just makes sure that they have a bunch of these infiltrators - easy as... So a no from me for that reason. Perhaps a development of this idea could introduce more variety and strategy into land battles, but I'm just not seeing it here.
