    Here is a relation of the best results I've got against the barbarians so far. Basically, it is a table of how many Hoplites are needed to defeat each level. Click in each section to open it.

    Acronyms

    * = Means that I haven't tested to send less units yet, possibly, we could achieve the same result with less troops
    a = Barbarian Axe Swinger
    n = Barbarian Clubman
    r = Barbarian Ram
    w = Wall Level
    h = Hoplite
    H = Hoplite with all attack and defence upgrades
    b = Battering Ram
    c = Catapult
    C = Catapult with all attack upgrades

    Table subtitles

    Level = The barbarian encampment level
    Enemy = The barbarian units in there
    Troops = The troops that I sent to kill the barbarians
    Ships = The amount of ships required to transport the troops plus the amount needed to bring the loot back home
    Died = The amount of soldiers that I lost in the battle. Each round is separated by a plus sign
    Respawn = The time need to the encampment go to the next level after the battle
    Morale = The troops morale in the last round

  • The following tables are updated with all statistics from fights using Hoplites fully upgraded until barbarians level 20.

    NOTE: I did not try to reduce the number of siege weapons yet.
  • As a note, Steam Giants seem to be more effective than Hoplites, you could go up to level 21 and higher without any damage whatsoever.
    You can find proof in my individual CR thread.

    So if you can, you should use Steam Giants with Carabineers, Swordmen and Siege weapons. This will put the damage to the minimum, I just won level 30 and lost only 62.4 General Score.
