    Ikariam Shop v.0.7.6 2016

Version 0.7.6 of Ikariam introduces new features: a reorganised shop and an item system, plus a new inventory for storing and using them in.

The new shop starts by clicking the amphora (1) in the upper left corner of every game page or by clicking on the balloons (3) in town view.
The inventory can be viewed by clicking the brown box (2) under the amphora in the upper left corner of every game page.

When the balloons are red it means there is Happy Hour going on.

    1, 3 - opens the shop
    2 - opens the inventory

In the Inventory there will be items stored, bought in the Shop and earned from achievements, and also display of production bonuses activated from the Cinetheatre.

Please remember that items bought from the Shop can be stored in the Inventory, while for items bought outside the Shop the purchase is immediate.

Purchasing items outside the shop has a security question that can be setup in Options. Make sure you activate the option "Security query for one-click Ambrosia features outside of the Ikariam shop" in Options page.

This guide is just an initial guide. The shop is versatile and can be subject to many changes and additions in the future. Prices are current prices at 01.12.2016.

    The
    guide has the following chapters:

  • Inventory

The purpose of the inventory is to store items until you need to use them. For example you can buy them on different reduction events and use them later. Or if you earn an item while it is already running.

1 - this is the tab for inventory of items
2 - this is the tab for Sea Chart Pieces Found. Not discussed in this tutorial as it relates to another feature of the game
3 - this is the tab for Sea Chart Collection. Not discussed in this tutorial as it relates to another feature of the game
4 - this is the list of items currently in use. Clicking on an item here it displays info in place no.5
5 - item Info displayed when you click an item in list no.4
6 - list of all items
7 - list of economy items
8 - list of military items
9 - list of decoration items
10 - list of other items than cannot fit in the categories above
11 - places to display items you bought and that can be used at your convenience

Here is how details on currently running items look like.

In this case (Premium account) you can see for how much time it will be running and you can extend it manually or automatically.

  • List of items, searching, filtering and sorting

This is the list of all items in the shop.
1 - displays the list of recommended items
2 - displays the list of economy items
3 - displays the list of military items
4 - displays the list of decoration items
5 - displays the list of other items that do not fit in the categories above

This is the list of popular items in the shop.

1, 2, 3, 4 same as above but for a short list of items that are used more often.

    Searching

If you know what you want you can search it by writing its name (no.1) and click search.

To find items easier there are 2 facilities:
    filter and sort

Unfiltered items are many and it's hard to find what you are looking for.

If you used a filter before, you can go to the dropdown list (1) and choose "Show all currencies" (2) to display all items again

You can filter them to show only the items that can be bought with ambrosia.

To display only items that can be bought with ambrosia go to the dropdown list (1) and choose "Ambrosia" (2)

This shop also introduces a new thing: items that can be bought with in-game gold. You can find them by filtering them like below:

There is a new feature: buy items with in-game gold. To view those items you go to the dropdown list (1) and choose "Gold" (2).
When you buy items with in-game gold you will see how gold is deducted from the displayed number on this page (first section in front of "Top up premium currency")

    Unsorted items look like this:

If you have them sorted before, go to the dropdown list (1) and choose "Default" (2)

You can sort them by name (ascending or descending)

If you want them sorted by name, go to the dropdown list (1) and choose "Name (ascending)" (2) or "Name (descending)".

You can sort them by ambrosia amount needed to buy them (ascending or descending)

If you want them sorted by price, go to the dropdown list (1) and choose "Price (ascending)" (2) or "Price (descending)".

  • Buying items

You can buy an item by clicking the price in his view:

Then the button is changed to "Buy" and you have to click it again. It's a safety question for not buying instantly by mistake.

When there is not enough ambrosia to buy an item you will have the option to buy more ambrosia (1) return to your previous view (2, 3)

After you buy an item you are offered the option to continue shopping and browse (left and right - 2, 3) through the list of items.

Offers to buy items can still be found in game, for example you can buy premium account on clicking on an advisor, or buy citizens in the mines.

You can choose for what period of time you want to buy the feature and price icon will update automatically.
If you have enough ambrosia it'll look like this one showing the price for that item and selected period of time

If you do not have enough ambrosia it'll look like this one, showing the missing ambrosia in red

  • Miscellaneous

How you can use an item?
In inventory you will see the list of active items (3), and bought but inactive items (1)
By clicking on inactive items you will see the info and you will have the "Use" button to activate them.

For some items you need to choose the town they will be active on.
Choose a town (2) before clicking "Use" (3)

After clicking "use" the item will be placed in currently running items list (4)

So, when you activate an item make sure you read the info and select the needed action.

If you need to cancel an item (2) and this is allowed, you get a safety question
(Yes/Cancel) (3) because cancelling an item will make you lose it from all lists and you need to buy it again.
